My passion lies in crafting multimedia-rich learning modules that motivate and empower learners, helping them achieve their goals through tailored, accessible content. Whether it's micro-learning snippets or comprehensive courses, I believe in the power of e-learning to transform the way we learn. My goal as I create course is to harness technology to create engaging, interactive experiences that deliver knowledge effectively.

PROJECT 1

Client: Woods System of Care and Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services

My Role: Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer, responsible for analysis, design, development, and delivery of training materials focused on making healthcare appointments accessible for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and Autism.

Executive Summary: This project addressed Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services desire to offer Behavioral Health Services to Individuals with I/DD and Autism. Due to lack to training, providers didn’t feel adequately equipped to offer services to I/DD and Autism community.

Challenge: Behavioral Healthcare providers often lack specific training in making appointments accessible for individuals with I/DD, leading to communication barriers, increased anxiety, and potentially compromised care. There was a need to equip providers with practical strategies for creating more inclusive and effective healthcare experiences.

Solution: To address these challenges, I developed a comprehensive In Person Training Course consisting of 5 modules. Those modules were also developed into eLearning Modules. This eLearning course is one of the 5 and it demonstrates implementing universal design principles across four key domains: physical, sensory, cognitive, and communicative. The course includes:

• Video scenarios demonstrating effective communication strategies.

• Practical guidelines for adapting the physical setting and therapy session to accommodate diverse needs.

• Best practices for helping an Individual with I/DD or Autism navigate the appointment.

• Assessment tools to verify learning outcomes.

Projected Results: This training aims to improve healthcare experiences and outcomes for individuals with I/DD through:

• Enhanced provider communication skills

• Reduced appointment-related anxiety

• Improved appointment success rates

• Better coordination with support teams

• More effective implementation of treatment plans

PROJECT 2

Overview

I was contracted by Done by Native to create an eLearning Course and Job Aids to help them implement a new Style Guide to use with their media monitoring.

After analyzing the scope of the project and what the client was looking for, I created the Style Guide (Job Aids) first to have the material to work with. I consulted with the SME in order to ensure that the guide were clear and effective. With the base material created, then I could begin designing the course. I worked on a Storyboard to ensure that everything was laid out the way it was needed and then determined that Articulate Rise would be the best place to build the eLearning component.

I built out the course in Rise, and consulted frequently with the SME to ensure all topics were covered appropriately.
